Setting up a shooting environment isn’t easy at all, or at least to someone like me.

  • OLYMPUS u710
  • f/3.4
  • 1/125 sec
  • ISO-250

  • Nokia 5800 Xpres
  • f/2.8
  • 1/100 sec
  • ISO-112

Camera phone actually fared pretty well against a digital camera! I’ll experiment more next time but now I’m going back to JLPT 3 again…

    Gambate ! It is not easy to find a great setup >__<

  2. lylibellule says:

    I sincerely encourage you.
    I started with simple backgrounds and no knowledge
    in photography.
    We improve ourself by testing and practicing.

  3. Hirobot says:

    Very, very nice 😀

  4. HenryLow says:

    White Balance problem. Please try to set the WB to Fluorescent.

  5. Tommy says:

    You know what…I hate you…don’t post Jubei!

    Just kidding. 😛

    White balance setting is wrong. If you don’t have the particular setting, you might want to consider getting some lights that’ll work with your camera. Or you can PS it.

    @Leonia – I’m in the progress of learning ^^

    @lylibellule – Thanks for the encouragement! Yeah practice makes perfect. ^^ I will do more of such in the future.

    @Hirobot – Thanks!

    @HenryLow – Shifu!!! Please accept me as your pupil! :-p I’ll take more care about the WB and thanks for commenting! ^^ Is it okay if I spam you on photoshooting questions?

    @Tommy – Thanks a lot for commenting, now I see the problem. It is always better to have people giving opinion – The best way of improving one’s skill. I hope you could give me more guidance in the future. ^^

  7. Tommy says:

    @enrius No problem.

  8. HenryLow says:

    Don’t called me shifu la. Me also learning ler. Jst share my experience with you.

  9. Tier says:

    Your picture of Yagyu Jubei is actually quite nice with a little bit of post-processing. Here’s an example of how it looks after about sixty seconds in Photoshop: http://tentaclearmada.com/images/misc/enrius-yagyu-jubei.jpg

    (Apologies for putting your picture on my own server; if you want me to remove it, let me know and I will.)
